Year of Faith Logo Unveiled
Today the Vatican unveiled the official logo for the Year of Faith. Pope Benedict XVI announced last October 11th that beginning on October 11, 2012, the Church would celebrate this Year of Faith. October 11th marks the 50th anniversary of Second Vatican Council and the 20th anniversary of the publication of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. One can surmise from Pope Benedict's Apostolic Letter, Porta Fidei (4), that the aim of the year of faith is to foster the New Evangelization of the Church.

I look at it and think the Barque of Peter and the tall mast of the ship is the cross. Thanks for posting this!
