Today's Gospel reading may have caused some of you to raise an eyebrow. In Mark 6:3 the gospel writer describes the brothers and sisters of Jesus. How can this be if Mary was "ever virgin?" Did Jesus have brothers and sisters? NO. The primary explanation is that no word existed in the Hebrew or Aramaic languages for cousin.
